A search in the Mission Trails area of San Diego with police looking for a group that broke into a Clairemont business and led authorities on a multi-freeway pursuit early Friday morning.
San Diego Police said they were searching for three people in the Mission Trails par after the report of the burglary at shortly after 4 a.m. Police say officers tried to stop the suspect's vehicle in the parking lot outside the Clairemont store but the driver sped off and the high-speed pursuit began. The chase went through several San Diego neighborhoods as it traveled on I-8, the 67 and the 52.
Police say that at some point, four people jumped out of the vehicle and ran. One person was taken into custody while the three others were on the loose. Police were using drones and K-9 units in the manhunt with help from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and the El Cajon Police Department.
