2.9 Magnitude Earthquake Hits San Diego Near Ocotillo Wells

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck 15 miles southwest of Ocotillo Wells around 11:52am on Thursday.

The quake had a depth of about 5.8 miles with a measured magnitude of 2.9, although it was originally reported at 3.1.

People in Julian, Pine Valley, Lakeside, El Cajon, Escondido, and Oceanside reported that they felt light shaking.
