Warning To Anyone In San Diego Who Walks Their Dog In Public Areas

A dog owner in Hillcrest says their pet tested positive for drugs after going out on a walk.

The owner said the vet also told them they have seen four similar cases over the last few days.

Roger Dunn told CBS 8 in San Diego that three year old Zelda goes on walks up to six miles each day, and she began acting erratic and frightened on Sunday.

He says the vet screened the dog's urine and found two different drugs, including methamphetamine.

Zelda was put on an IV with a sedative for 36 hours and will be checked for liver damage.
