A 3.8 earthquake rattled many areas of San Diego County Thursday morning.
It hit at 7:28am and was centered about 7 miles northwest of Ocotillo Wells in Imperial County, about 94 miles east of San Diego. The U.S. Geological Service says it was reported felt as far away as Oceanside, Carlsbad, downtown San Diego and Chula Vista.
There were no reports of damage or injuries. The quake was initially reported with a 4.0 magnitude but was adjusted down to a 3.8.
