A booking site for private campgrounds has named a campground in Julian as among the best in the nation.
Campspot says they combed through more than 70-thousand data points including bookings, reviews and category-specific factors to find the best. Lake Cuyamaca Recreation and Park District in Julian has been awarded fourth place in the "Best for Tent Campers" category.
The booking site also cited Lake Cuyamaca as an "angler's paradise" with a year-round trout fishery.
