Authorities have identified the three victims who died after their car plummeted 400 feet down Devil's Slide in California last week as U.S. Army soldiers Brylyn Aroma, 36; Mohammad Noory, 29; and Angelica Gacho, 28.

The trio was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway in San Mateo County when they lost control and plunged over the cliff, crashing into the rocky water below just before noon on Friday (July 26). Rescuers had a hard time reaching the car due to the high tide and cold water temperatures.

A CAL FIRE rescue team rappelled down the cliff and found two victims, who were pronounced dead at the scene. On Saturday, crews found the body of the third victim while they were towing the car out of the water.

According to KNTV, Noory, a former U.S. Army interpreter in Afghanistan, was working as an Uber driver at the time.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
