A brush fire was burning Monday afternoon east of Spring Valley, prompting some evacuations in the area.
The fire, dubbed the Anita Fire by Cal Fire, broke out near Millar Ranch Road and Millar Anita Lane. As of 3 p.m., the fire had burned 10-15 acres, according to a Cal Fire spokesman.
Cal Fire told KOGO News there were about 30 homes were being threatened.
More than 100 firefighters were fighting the fire south of Campo Road (Hwy 94) in a hilly, brushy area.
The evacuation order applies to the red-shaded area in the map below, while the evacuation warning applies to the yellow-shaded area.
