Petco Park was electric Wednesday night after the Padres beat the Atlanta Braves. Immediately after the win, nearly 50,000 fans at Petco Park broke out into 'Beat LA' chants with fans ready to cheer for their team against the Los Angeles Dodgers starting this weekend.
The Padres are highly motivated to win a World Series championship in memory of late owner Peter Seidler. The Padres eliminated the 111-win Dodgers in a 2022 NLDS, months after Seidler said of L.A. – “They’re the dragon up the freeway that we’re trying to slay.”
The team heads to Los Angeles to face the Dodgers in the NLDS on Saturday in the first game of a best out of 5 series with games 3 and 4 at Petco Park..
