Several wildfires broke out in San Diego County Monday and Tuesday.

Cal Fire Tuesday morning said crews were “making good progress” on the Lilac Fire in Bonsall and “fire activity had decreased significantly.”

Capt. Robert Johnson told KOGO News the agency confirmed some damage to structures, but the extent of the damage was unknown. The fire had burned 80 acres as of 7:30am with the fire at least 10-percent contained.

The Pala Fire (off I-15 south and Stewart Canyon Rd.) broke out early Tuesday morning in the darkness. Fire crews stopped the fire’s spread at 16 acres.

The Riverview Fire in Fallbrook (Santa Margarita Dr.) burned just one acre after crews stopped the fire’s forward rate of spread.

On Monday, the Poway Fire Department responded to a fast moving and wind-driven brush fire that ignited near homes in the area of Ted Williams Parkway and Pomerado Road. The fire started around 1:17 p.m. in the vicinity of 14322 Pomerado Road. Air tankers and helicopters were joined in the fight against the fire which was kept to about three acres. Homes near the fire were threatened for a time but there were no confirmed reports of any structures destroyed.
