WATCH: Airport Weather, Lighting Systems Not Working at Time of Plane Crash

Some new information was released Friday about the deadly early morning plane crash Thursday in the Murphy Canyon neighborhood in the Tierrasanta area of San Diego.

The National Transportation Safety Board held a briefing Friday afternoon that was broadcast live on KOGO said there were systems at the Montgomery-Gibbs Airport that were not working at the time of the crash.

An NTSB spokesman said runway lighting and illumination systems were not working properly. And he also said the plane was not equipped with a flight data recorder.
