Maybe Mother Nature is trying to fool us.
Meteorologists and climatologists have been saying that they we are expected to have a weak La Niña this year…that is expected to bring drier and potentially cooler-than-average conditions to San Diego this winter.
They do say a few strong storms are still possible. But the main effect typically of La Niña is shifting the jet stream to the north steering storms away from Southern California and potentially prolonging drought conditions.
But with the record setting weekend we had in San Diego County and the next rain system now approaching us, it looks like the La Nina is taking some time to do its thing,
But then the official start of winter is still more than 30 days away, so by then the La Nina could be ready to do what it normally does…with drier weather and cooler weather.
Anyone who lives in San Diego of course usually doesn’t have too much to complain about when it comes to the weather,.
That’s what happens when you’re known as a place that has America’s finest weather.
It’s something we take for granted when Mother Nature surprises us.
