Why a Shorter Time Until Christmas is What We Need

Thanksgiving Day is behind us and now the countdown to Christmas Day is now less than 30 days away.

It’s one of those years when there is a shorter period of time between thetwo holidays.

Of course, the box stores and most other retail businesses have had Christmas decorations for sale for at least a couple of months already.

And as you probably have noticed, or have done, lots of homes and apartments already have outdoor lights, along with the displays of the Christmas time figures of Santa and his reindeer and the Grinch in place.

The pop up bars have already popped up, some of the tree lighting ceremonies have already been lit and all the holiday attractions at all the major attractions, from the Hotel Del in Coronado to the San Diego Zoo and others, are well into Christmas holiday décor.

Everything seems to start a little earlier each year, but this year, it seems to feel even earlier.

Maybe it’s because of the times we are in right now….with too much bad news in the news, and the economy a little tight and prices a little high and the political divide still dividing.

And that’s why, over the next several days, here on KOGO, you’ll be hearing more good news about all the good things that happen during the holidays in December throughout the San Diego area that get us into holiday spirt, something we probably all can use.
