Lots of headlines in the news about weather.
Not surprising this time of year, when people back east want a White Christmas and even those of us from back east who now live here but want to see a White Christmas while we visit family back east….to others back East who are the snowbirds who flee the snow and the cold for warmer weather in the west.
No snow likely here of course. In fact the a San Diego Union Tribune headline says
"San Diego County expected to remain dry for at least the next 10 days. Persistent high pressure to the northwest is preventing storms from dropping into Southern California."
But the headlines about the weather in Northern California and farther north have been very different.
The San Francisco Chronicle for instance had a headline that read, “Rain, snow returning to Northern California with a good chance of a flurry of winter storms."
And up in Washington State a headline read: “About 100,000 people asked to evacuate their homes due to a series of atmospheric rivers storms drenching the state."
All of this after a week here in San Diego when we set record high temperatures in our area.
With the predictions being for dry and mild weather as we head toward Christmas Day, there should be a lot of people from back east who want to experience America’s finest weather, right here.
