A 3.5 earthquake near the U.S. Mexico border Monday afternoon was felt in parts of San Diego County,
It hit at 2:06 pm and was centered about 12 miles southeast of Alpine.
The USGS says they got reports of people feeling it parts of the east and south county areas and in areas just east of Escondido
There were no immediate reports of any damage.
