The 14th annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will take place September 5th at the Hilton Bay Front hotel.
Hundreds of people will climb 110 flights of stairs, the same number that was in the World Trade Center to honor sacrifices made by emergency responders.
An opening ceremony will take place shortly after 8 a.m. with the climb starting around 8:46 am, the exact time American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the north tower.
This year, the fundraising goal for the event is 120-thousand-dollars for firefighter aid. People can register for the climb on the event’s website.
