Everything that you know and love from the pre-pandemic fair will be back in 2022, as "Heroes ReUnite," June 8 - July 4.
The fair's website has been updated with the new dates of June 8 - July 4, 2022 and a notice that it will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, except for July 4.
The 22nd Agricultural Association, which manages the event at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, held very scaled-down versions of the fair over past two years, but they are looking forward to it's full-scale return, which brings more than 1.5 million visitors and $230 million back to the local economy.
“For our staff it really is a labor of love to put on the event,” Del Mar Fairgrounds marketing director Jennifer Hellman told the San Diego Business Journal. “It’s such an unusual and fun industry, and we’re very much looking forward to getting back at it.”
