SDG&E Customers Will Start Receiving Credits On Their Bill In April

Good news for San Diego Gas & Electric customers. The utility will will be issuing credits to residential customers during the months of April, August and September as part of the California Climate Credit program.

In April, natural gas customers will see their bills reduced by $43.06, which is more than double last year's credit.

In August and September, electric bills will be reduced by $64.17 ($128.34 total), which is almost double last year's credit.

The timing of the electric bill "Climate Credits," intentionally coincides with the hottest months of the year, when consumer's typically use a great deal of energy on air conditioning.

“All residential natural gas customers will automatically receive this credit from SDG&E on their April bill,” SDG&E said. “All electricity customers, including community choice aggregation customers, will automatically receive the credit on their August and September billing cycles.”
