In looking at the sectors where outbreaks have been most prevalent since the pandemic began, senior living facilities have experienced the most, followed by manufacturing and other businesses, retail/grocery stores, and coming in at fourth place restaurants/bars
Despite these figures, local government and restaurants continue to battle over whether they should be allowed to continue on-premise dining. On Friday an appeals court granted a stay against a San Diego judges recent ruling to allow strip clubs and restaurants to reopen despite the state's current coronavirus restrictions.
