Roger is a 10-month-old, 25-pound, male, Collie mix.
Roger was a malnourished stray. He was picked up at a local park. When nobody came to claim him, he was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through FOCAS – Friends of County Animal Shelters. Despite his sad beginning, his silly charm will keep you laughing. He needs a patient family to give him a fresh start.
The $145 adoption fee for Roger includes medical exam, neuter, up to date vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if his new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society.

During November “Adopt a Senior Pet Month” Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas is encouraging families to meet older cats and dogs available for adoption. There are lots of advantages to adopting a senior pet:
· You know what you’re getting.
· Unlike kittens or puppies, it’s not a 24-7 job to adopt a senior pet.
· Senior pets usually settle into their new homes more quickly.
· You can match a senior pet with your activity level.
· When you adopt a senior pet…you’re a hero!
· If you are 60 or older and you adopt a senior pet 7 years or older, the adoption fee will be paid by a generous Rancho Coastal Humane Society benefactor.

Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s Second Annual Community Donation Drive runs November 1st through November 30th.
The Community Donation Drive is taking place at Dirty Dogs (Solana Beach), Move Madly (Encinitas), Hansen Surfboards (Encinitas), and The Confessional by The Lost Abbey (Cardiff).
The Community Donation Drive Campaign will collect supplies for the shelter animals and the community Pet Food Bank. Needed items include pet food, treats, toys, and more.
