It didn’t take long for the comments from many of the scorned former fans of the former San Diego Chargers to pour in on social media.
Moments after the Super Bowl Game, and the Los Angeles Rams had won, they were there with these comments and more like them:
The best part of the @RamsNFL winning the Super Bowl is that they just all but guaranteed that the @chargers will never be embraced or relevant in Los Angeles.
Why would anyone be an LA @chargers fan… best answers only
Bad news for those other SoFi Stadium tenants. That Chargers fan in L.A. is now officially a RAMS fan.
THE RAMS OWN LA. The Chargers owned San Diego but are merely renters in LA. The Chargers belong in San Diego. @chargers
Yes, for these former fans of the team they used to love before the owner chose to take the team north, the only thing were more happy about maybe than the Rams winning, was former San Diego Charger fan favorite Eric Weddle getting a Super Bowl ring.
And now, as someone on Twitter put it, saying the “fight for L-A is officially over”, many of these former fans are probably still hoping, and maybe just dreaming, that the team they once loved might ever come back home to San Diego now that the Rams are champions in the NFL and in Los Angeles.
