Millions of people are at airports and on airplanes this week around the country so it’s the perfect time for a new survey to come out about airline passenger behavior.
You’ve probably seen those videos that go viral from time to time showing irate passengers fighting with each other or with flight attendants. Sad stuff really.
But a new survey is out this week about the irritating things that some airline passengers are guilty of that bother other airline passengers.
According to a study of 2,000 flyers, some of the most irritating behaviors include passengers who claim both armrests, those who remove their shoes and socks during the flight, passengers who consume excessive alcohol on flights.
Also passengers letting their hair drape over the back of a seat, reclining chairs just as beverages or meals are being served and causing delays in security or check-in lines by not being prepared.
The survey also compared the different generations of airline passengers who do bothersome things that annoy other passengers by asking them about how they behave when flying.
The poll found that Gen Z’ers see themselves as the most guilty of unwanted plane behaviors, some 22-percent. followed by millennials at 18 percent, Gen X’ers at 12-percent and Baby Boomers at 7-percent who admit to bothersome behaviors.
So if you’re flying this week, you may want to find a boomer to sit near.
