TODAY: A Call for Help for San Diego Flood Victims

Today is the day you can help us as KOGO and all the San Diego iHeart radio stations collect supplies and needed items for the flood victims from the historic storm on January 22nd.

With last week’s storm that devastated several neighborhoods in San Diego and with the clean of literally hundreds of tons of debris, and thousands of people flooded out of their now damaged or destroyed homes, concerns over droughts have dried up and now many people are just worried and even scared of want could happen next.

They have lost possessions they will never have again. And the vast majority don’t have the insurance or money for repairs. They wonder if life will ever be the same. And they’re upset and worried that the city’s flood control system is not what it needs to be to protect their homes and neighborhoods.

What has happened to our fellow citizens in San Diego in the last week is a call out to all the rest of us. A call to help our neighbors during their time of great need.

As you are hearing on KOGO, TODAY is the day that you have an opportunity to do just that. Today's Storm Relief drop-off drive-thru outside our iHeartmedia studios is happening from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m today.

Help our neighbors in need. We hope you drive through and drop off items that can help get those hard hit by the storm last week get through this very hard time.

We are at 9660 Granite Ridge Drive near I-15 and Aero Drive.
