HOW TO DONATE

With the wars raging between Israel and Hamas and between Ukraine and Russia, and with U.S. troops at various Middle East bases being attacked, the stories you are hearing today on KOGO are especially important.

When wars happen, warriors are needed. They are the ones who volunteer to serve, knowing the risks of possible life-changing wounds, of long term impacts on their mental health and knowing they may even have to sacrifice their lives in defense of their country and in defense of freedom.

And that’s why what the Warrior Foundation Freedom Station organization does for our service members is so special, so meaningful and so needed.

There are more than 115-thousand active-duty military personnel in San Diego with more military bases than any other city. It is home for 25 percent of all Navy vessels and is home to one third of the U.S. Marine Corps active duty force.

And these are the men and women who are the warriors who are separated from their families during long and sometimes dangerous deployments.

Thanks to the Warrior Foundation, there are many who will get something for the holidays that isn’t inside a gift box, but comes wrapped in the hearts of people like our listeners who give so that these heroes can be with their family at the most meaningful time of the year.

We hope you can make a donation and help these warriors. Just go to warrior foundation dot org. and click on “donate”. And make a difference in the lives of our miliary heroes.
