Remember those movies back in the 70s and 80s about nerds and geeks, Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Revenge of the Nerds come to mind.
Well, nerds and geeks may be back for some.
A study has found that people who are a little nerdy or a little geeky may be the best finds if you’re looking for a romantic partner or spouse.
The study of younger singles found that most of them say that being true to your peculiarities may help you find that perfect someone.
These singles said they find attractive someone who shares things with them about their nerdy likes and dislikes and are their authentic selves.
Even the term, “authentic self” is a pretty popular way that a lot of people describe what they are looking for when it comes to getting to know someone else and finding a mate.
In other words, when it comes to dating, this study suggests that honesty is the best policy. And telling the truth about the way you are is better than hiding the nerdy or geeky things about you.
