Sex Predator To Be Released In Boulevard

This convicted sex predator is leaving a state hospital and entering the community of Boulevard.

The individual who appears on this notification has been convicted of sex offenses for which community notification is permitted.

The subject is NOT wanted by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department at this time. California Penal Code Section 290, also known as “Megan’s Law,” permits law enforcement agencies to warn the community about sex offenders who reside there.

The purpose of this notice is to allow members of the public to protect themselves and/or their children from sex offenders. In order to uphold our mission to provide the highest quality public safety service to make San Diego the safest urban county in the nation, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has adopted a pro-active community notification policy. This notification is not intended to induce fear; rather it is our belief that an informed community is a safer community. Use of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass the subject or any other person will not be tolerated and may result in prosecution. SUBJECT: Michael Joseph MARTINEZ A.k.a. Mike MARTINEZ 

DOB: 11/02/1952 

ADDRESS: 2135 McCain Valley Road  Boulevard, CA 91934

 IDENTIFIERS: Hispanic, 5'10", 240 lbs., Black hair, Brown eyes

INFORMATION: Sheriff's Deputies along with the Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (SAFE) Task Force went door to door in the Jacumba Hot Springs and Boulevard areas on April 12, 2018 to inform the community about a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) who will be living in their neighborhood. 

Michael MARTINEZ is scheduled to move to 2135 McCain Valley Road in Boulevard. 

MARTINEZ is registered as a “Sexual Violent Predator” sex offender with the California Department of Justice and the County of San Diego.

This classification is based on felony convictions for several counts of child molestation. MARTINEZ was convicted of sexual offenses between 1978 and 2004. 

The victims were primarily female children and one male child. MARTINEZ served several years in state prison for his crimes. MARTINEZ is scheduled to be released from Coalinga State Hospital any time prior to April 30, 2018 and has a lifetime requirement to register as a sex offender.
