ESCONDIDO - Nurses in North County won't be going on strike after all.
A tentative agreement has been reached between Palomar Health and the California Nurses Association, stopping a planed strike Thursday. The deal came after a marathon 34 hour negotiation session, but the terms of the agreement have not been released.
The labor dispute has been ongoing for more than a year, with the union accusing hospital administrators or bad faith bargaining and intentionally running departments like intensive care and the emergency room with skeleton crews.
Palomar Health has denied those claims.
