ESCONDIDO - It's a Southern California tradition and now the San Diego Zoo Safari Park will be a part of the Rose Parade.
Crews from the Safari Park are hard at work in Pasadena assembling their float for the Rose Parade on January second.
"Blood. Sweat and tears. We've all been working really hard," zoo ambassador Marco Wendt told reporting partner 10 News. "What's exciting about this particular year is our theme is celebrating 50 years of conservation."
Those working on the float said the hardest part was picking which animals to showcase, since the park is home to a wide variety of species.
