SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Community College District has received $3.4 Million in funding for some underserved groups of students.
$1.2 Million will fund programs and services for LGBTQ+ students and another $1.2 Million will help expand Dreamer Resource Centers for AB 540 students who were unlawfully brought to the U.S. as children. The remaining million will expand services for former foster youth at the San Diego College of Continuing Education.
The funding was made possible by the Omnibus Appropriations Bill passed by congress last year.
