Deadline for San Diego Flood Assistance from FEMA is Friday April 19

The deadline for San Diego County homeowners and renters affected by January flooding to apply for help from FEMA is Friday, April 19th.

Individuals in San Diego County are eligible for assistance with damages suffered during flooding that occurred between Jan. 21st and Jan. 23rd. FEMA has already approved for more than 20-million dollars in aid for more than 2,600 homes.

The fastest and easiest way to apply is by visiting DisasterAssistance.gov or by phone at 800-621-3362 (TTY: 800-462-7585). The toll-free telephone lines operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. PST seven days a week. Those who use a relay service such as a videophone, InnoCaption or CapTel should update FEMA with their specific number assigned to that service.
