San Diego Unified School District is considering eliminating more than 200 positions.
The cuts will be to cafeteria workers, bus drivers, special education and teacher aides.
The Union says roughly 40-percent of the jobs on the cut list are already vacant, but roughly 70 employees are facing layoffs.
Monday was the deadline for school districts to finalize their preliminary layoff notices. The districts have until May 15 to finalize all layoff decisions.
