Repairs are underway to a portion of the Mexican sewage system that hasn't been upgraded in nearly 30 years.
The U.S. is helping to pay for upgrades to the P-B-1 pump in Tijuana, which will be repaired over the next year and a half.
The Voice of San Diego reports the U.S. will pay 13-million dollars for the project, while Mexico will pay 31 million dollars. These are the first upgrades to the pump since 1998.
