At around 12:15pm on Monday, a small plane crash landed on the 9900 block of North Magnolia Avenue (corner of Greencastle and Jeremy Streets) in a residential area of Santee, California. Two homes appear to be almost completely destroyed and at least two individuals have been taken to the hospital for injuries.
The cause of the accident and the extent of injuries to those involved, is not yet known. There are also reports of a delivery truck being hit by the plane. Authorities are asking everyone to avoid the area.
At 12:36pm the San Diego Sheriff's Department posted an alert "If you live in the City of Santee, please avoid the area near the 9900 block of N. Magnolia Avenue. Santee Fire Department and other first responders are at the scene of a plane crash. This is a developing situation. We appreciate your patience and cooperation."
