Living in San Diego can cause a lot of headaches and heartaches. In some ways, we are the town of "No."
But we get an awful lot right too.
I am on a mission to find the very best of everything San Diego has to offer, but I need YOU to help.
It doesn't matter if you are a native...or a native since _____, you have likely come across things you absolutely LOVE about living here.
The beach certainly is part of that. The cove. Torrey pines. The Embarcadero. There is so MUCH here.
So I am asking you, what are your favorite things to do here?
Pie in Julian?
Dinner at the Marine Room?
Dog beach?
Las Cuatro Milpas tacos?
Lets share with each other, and maybe we can all appreciate this gorgeous place just a little more. Just comment below, and I look forward to learning a little more about you, and this glorious place we live.
I'll start:
I LOVE Point Loma. I miss living there, though Del Cerro has it's charms. When I lived there, I was a 5 minute bike ride away from Liberty Station, and ALL it has to offer. I could walk to the harbor, and rent a stand-up Paddleboard, and spend hours on the water, Zenning-out and looking at all the cool boats there. From the lighthouse and Cabrillo Monument...to the skank of Midway...you can have some serious fun.
Wherever you live in San Diego, you are probably no more than 20 minutes away from somewhere you want to go. It's a cheap Uber or Lyft, and you can party to your heart's content, and endanger no one.
Hiking Torrey, and walking Black's. 'Nuff said. Heh.
When I lived in Golden Hill, I could walk to Hamilton's, to my friend Darrell's house, to The Rose and all those cool shops on 30th/Fern. The majority of my Christmas shopping happens there. The majority of my people-watching happens in North and South Park, as well. Beer, hairy men and tattoos. What's not to love?
Lions Tigers and Bears in Alpine. If you haven't been, go. Amazing people.
And live music. All over the place. From the BUT to Mattress Firm Amphitheater in Chula Vista...
What do YOU like to do in San Diego?
