The owner of iconic Los Angeles donut shop Randy's Donuts plans to open 10 locations in San Diego.
Mark Kelegian, who also owns Ocean's 11 Casino in Oceanside, says "It's just a natural progression as we spread throughout the state."
Kelegian bought Randy's back in 2015, and has since opened stores in Las Vegas and the Bay Area, and expanded internationally to the Philippines, Saudia Arabia and South Korea.
He plans to open the first San Diego location north of Mission Valley near Aero Drive and Interstate-15, which is set to open this December or January.
The other locations being considered include Escondido, Chula Vista, El Cajon, Clairemont/Pacific Beach, Oceanside, Vista, Kearny Mesa, and La Jolla.
