A San Diego attorney, missing for four day, is recovering after being found in Joshua Tree National Park. 54-year-old Paul Hanks went hiking alone in the Maze Loop on Sunday and fell about 20 feet.
He was found on Thursday and taken to the hospital. Authorities say he was injured, but conscious and talking to rescuers, when he was found. His condition is unknown.
Hanks, who has a law office in Santee, was supposed to meet his family in Las Vegas after he went to Joshua Tree, but he never showed up and never checked into his Joshua Tree hotel.
