A Deadly Few Hours on San Diego Roads

A busy few hours for police after three separate deadly crashes.

One person was killed Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash in the Spring Valley-Casa De Oro area. Two other people in the SUV were injured. It happened around 7:30a.m. on the westbound 94 near the Kenwood Drive on-ramp. The two survivors of the crash were reportedly family members of the person who died, according to CHP. The SUV rolled over several times before crashing.

Around 4:30 Tuesday morning, a woman was struck and killed while walking on a Serra Mesa freeway off-ramp.  It happened on the northbound 805 off-ramp to Mesa College Drive and Kearny Villa Road. CHP says the 21-year-old driver of the car stopped at the scene. The woman who was hit appeared to be in her 60's and 70's, and possibly homeless according to officers.

Monday night, another person was struck and killed...this time in Golden Hill.  It happened around 11:00p.m. on the westbound 94 near 25th Street. CHP says a man was walking when he was hit by a car. That car drove away, and the man was hit by a second car.  He died at the scene. Police are still looking for the driver of the first car. They say it's a silver Honda, likely with front-end damage. Police are still investigating all three crashes.
