Possible Tuberculosis Exposure At Two San Diego County Colleges

There are two cases of unrelated Tuberculosis at two college campuses.

One is at Mira Costa College, and the other is at San Diego City College.

The time of exposure at Mira Costa was August 20th to November 15th.

The potential exposure at City College was from September 14th to October 10th.

Symptoms of active TB include persistent cough, fever, night sweats and unexplained weight loss and can be treated and cured with medication.

Free testing will be offered on the campuses this week.

No-cost testing will be offered to identified students at Mira Costa College on Wednesdsay, December 12, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Community Learning Center campus.

No-cost testing for identified students at San Diego City College will take place on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the college.
