The Latest Buzz About the San Diego Padres

Who would have thought that one of the big controversies about the Padres this season would be about bees?

But thanks to a swarm of bees that suddenly showed up near the Padres dugout that’s what people are buzzing about this week.

The swarm of bees held up the game for a while as a pest removal guy in a protective suit was called in.

They were buzzing close enough to fans in nearby stands to worry team officials and parents of any kids who are allergic to bees and if stung by one of them…could mean going into medical shock and an immediate trip to a hospital.

The bees were sprayed and killed and the scare was over.

But the controversy was just beginning with a swarm of people on social media who were mad and angry over how Padres management handled the situation.

The bees should not have been killed but removed; with some saying it’s wrong and even immoral to kill bees, because they help plants and the environment.

The owner of the Termite & Pest control company that exterminated the bees told the San Diego Union Tribune it was too dangerous to try to move the swarm of bees because some were still flying around the park near fans, saying that if you start messing around with the bees, we could get a bunch of people stung.”

The Padres are probably now hoping that with the bees gone from Petco Park, there will be swarms of wins to put this controversy behind them.
