Mold will keep students out of their school in Poway until next year.
Del Sur Elementary students and staff will not return to campus until January 2027 after mold was discovered inside.
The news was announced on Friday. The Poway Unified school district had been targeting Sept. 21 as a potential return date.
The start of school at Del Sur Elementary was delayed by nearly two weeks due to the mold before students began classes on a shared campus with Stone Ranch Elementary.
