Philip Rivers Retires From The NFL

Former Chargers' quarterback Philip Rivers announced his retirement from the NFL after a 17-year career. Rivers led the Chargers as quarterback in San Diego for 13 years and in L.A. for another three, before playing his final season in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts.

Rivers entered the NFL in 2004 as first round draft pick from North Carolina State University. He is the eight-highest rated pass in NFL history, with a career record of 126-103, 401 touchdowns and 203 interceptions.
