El Cajon has a growing problem with drivers speeding. The city is now proposing a one year pilot program that would use automated warning systems to try and discourage speedsters.
The city plans to hold a town hall meeting next Tuesday to gather input from locals about the proposal.
The program would cost the city roughly 100-thousand dollars for the first year. It would be paid through the city's general fund.
The meeting will be held Tuesday, April 21, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ronald Reagan Community Center, 195 E. Douglas Ave., in El Cajon.
