San Diego Budget Released Today-More Cuts Coming

San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria will today release his proposed budget, as the city faces a 120-million dollar deficit.

Despite cutting more than 100-million dollars in spending, the mayor says more cuts are expected.

The proposed budget will focus on infrastructure, homelessness and public safety.

A recent taxpayers’ analysis challenged city officials to do more to address the growing gaps in infrastructure development. However, that may be challenging considering the city's financial crisis, and the amount of money needed to repair everything from pot holes and bridges to aging buildings.

The budget will be presented to the City Council next week, that's followed by public comment, revisions, and a final budget that has to be adopted no later than June 15th.
