A man has been sentenced to 17 years to life in prison for killing a woman in Rancho Penasquitos.
Prosecutors say 47-year-old Parrish Chambers Jr. broke into the victim’s condo in 2022 and beat 45-year-old Nahal Connie Dadkhah to death. He was convicted of second-degree murder in a retrial after an earlier jury deadlocked on that charge.
The judge cited a history of domestic violence and a restraining order violation in handing down the sentence.
Chambers apologized in court but maintained he was not a murderer.
