San Diego May Flush Public Restroom Access

It may soon be harder to find a toilet when you need one in San Diego.

Nearly 40 public restrooms in Mission Bay, Downtown, Balboa Park and across the city would be closed under Mayor Todd Gloria's proposed budget cuts.

The closures would save roughly $3-million dollars according to an independent budget analyst report.

The mayor proposed similar closures as part of his budget last year, after publicly promising to place restrooms within a five minute walk of anywhere in downtown San Diego in 2021.
