The search continues for a young boy who is believed to have been swept away in a flooded creek in the North County community of Rainbow Sunday.
His family has identified him as 5-year old Phillip Campbell. Firefighters were sent to the creek off 5th Street Sunday afternoon after someone saw a man in the water. That man's body was found later that night, but rescuers weren't able to pull him from the water until Monday because it was too dangerous.
Rescuers also found a car submerged nearby and family members have identified the man as 73-year old Roland Philips. Rescuers are using drones and dogs as they continue to search for the boy.
There are reports quoting a Fallbrook woman who grew up with the missing boy's family and knew the elderly man.
Christine Bolding told CBS8 the man served as a close family friend, and she believes he was driving with the boy last night before the two ended up in the creek.
