Carl DeMaio knows how to reform government. He has built an entire business and a political career on making broken government programs work again for the people. At the age of 23, Carl DeMaio started his first company, the Performance Institute, which provides training and consulting solutions for financially-troubled government entities to cut costs while improving performance, transparency, efficiency and accountability of government at all levels.

In 2008 Carl won a seat on the San Diego City Council, and helped turn the city around from the brink of bankruptcy through his “Roadmap to Recovery” reform agenda. In addition to speaking out on the San Diego issues as host of the new DeMaio Report each weekday on NewsRadio 600 KOGO, Carl is also tackling state-wide fiscal reform policy in his new role as Chairman of Reform California.
